Flamingo (Phoenicopterus) is one of the most beautiful world’s water birds; which is famous for its bright pink feathers, stilt-like legs and S-shaped neck, its length around 90-150 CM and its speed is 37 Mile.

Flamingo‘s young born with a white feather color, both parents take care of its newborn, keep it warm & feed the chick with a kind of crop milk, produced in glands lining the whole of the upper digestive tract, when it grows up its feed on fancy food that contains beta-Carotene like shrimp, crustaceans and snails, This substance is the responsible for the transformation of its color from white to pink.

Flamingo can be found in warm, watery regions on many continents like estuaries and saline or alkaline lakes, Greater Flamingo is a very social bird it likes living and feeding in groups called flocks or colonies whose population can number in the thousands; because it find safety in numbers, which helps to protect individual birds from predators.

At WARAGAMI, we chose Flamengo as a logo for the company because it is a social bird and likes to stand out among the members of the group. In our vision, we hope that our #WaraGamers, who are passionate about the paper art “origami and Quilling” to enjoy with friends and family the creation of different shapes and designs and to be special and put their unique touches within the group; Inspired by Flamenco dance and expressive art, paper art is an ideal way to express what is inside and transform their senses into works of art, and the Flamingo stands on one leg and that’s inspired us to start creating materials and tool for people with disabilities to enjoy the paper art as the Flamingo enjoying the life standing on one leg.
